The "Young Leaders Round Table" of the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan

On April 14, 2011, 2011 Annual Meeting of the Young Leaders Round Table of the Boao Forum for Asia was held in Boao, Hainan. Yao Ming, the basketball star, Cao Guowei, the President of SINA Corporation, and Yang Yang, the famous short track speed skater were present at the Round Table. Hiu NG, the founder of 51Sim and FairKlima Capital, also as one of the 26 representatives of the Young Leaders Round Table of the Boao Forum for Asia, would make discussions with other young elites.

The 51Give Online Donation Platform released by 51Sim in 2011 has provided online donation platform services for more than 30 subsidiaries of the China Social Welfare Foundation (CSWF), such as Free Lunch, Mango V Fund, 1 Kg Box, China Doll, Poor Autistic Children Rescue, and Baby Home, etc. 51Give Website has been visited for 372,759 times in 2011. 51Give has helped CSWF get online donations from 275,965 personages with loving care, and has collected an RMB2,189,374.76 charity fund, which has helped 32 charity projects, with a year-on-year increase in donation amount by 70% compared with 2010.

Rain Visiting 51Sim and Devoted to Public Welfare

Mr. Rain, the international giant star visited 51Sim's company on March 6, 2011, to understand 51Sim cause. Mr. Rain himself is keen on public welfare and he joined the army at the end of 2011. Before his farewell tour, Mr. Rain made this visit for a special purpose to understand 51Sim business. Rain gave high recognition of and strong support to 51Sim. He also hoped to be devoted to the Chinese public welfare after joining the army, and greeted the Chinese friends through 51Sim. Everybody was encouraged to engage in the public charity, to support 51Sim and to support Rain!

Global Climate Summit in Cancun, Mexico

In December 2010, Ms. Hiu NG and Mr. Daniel Foa, the co-founders of 51Sim, in the name of Beijing Club, took part in the Global Climate Summit in Cancun, Mexico held concurrently with the UN Climate Change Conference, to make discussions together with the high flyers of international famous enterprise circles, business leaders, and government heads of respective countries in the world about the climate response solutions.

UN Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen

Daniel Foa, the co-founder of 51Sim presented the projects sponsored by 51Sim in the event themed on "Nongovernmental Organizations Beginning to Lead the World" at the UN Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen, and introduced the vigorous actions taken by the Chinese government for protecting environment and reducing carbon emissions, as well as the contributions made by the Chinese young people for popularizing the knowledge about environment protection.

In November 2009, Kaiche.com was launched online, and this was one part of the "Green Vehicles" program. Qi Qin and the Canadian friend Dashan, as well as other famous stars have taken an active part in voluntary representation and promotion of this project.

In July 2008, 51Sim was involved in organizing the Closing Ceremony of the China International Youth Arts Week, and trees were planted to eliminate the carbon emissions generated by the closing ceremony.

This is an international nonprofit organization closely combining the international front-edge theory of carbon credits with the Chinese national conditions, committed to microfinance of carbon credit development and green science and technology.

"Great Walk to Beijing"

eginning from April 6 and ended on April 29, Olivia Newton-John led the team composed of the big stars in the sports circles and the performing arts circles as well as the cancer survivors to climb up the Great Wall in fully 23 days. The charity fund raised through this event would be used to build a rehabilitation center in the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre. This rehabilitation center would be the first Australian hospital for cancer research and therapy, with concurrent attention given to body and mentality in terms of treatment methods.
