Carbon Offsets
51SIM is committed to sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) and for this reason partnered with Camco International to calculate and offset the carbon emissions from the International Youth Arts Week. Camco tabulated all performers'international and domestic flights and officially organized ground travel related to the week's performances and the closing ceremony to equal 1,235 tonnes of CO2, which was offset by purchasing Plan Vivo Certificates in Uganda.
